This course is designed for healthcare providers whose responsibilities may require them to participate in neonatal resuscitations.

This program teaches the knowledge and skills required to resuscitate newborns. While this course does not guarantee proficiency during an actual resuscitation, it lays the foundation that enables participants to continue development of these skills.

This course is offered at Methodist Women's Hospital on the 3rd floor in the NICU Conference Room. Please check in at the front desk and they will escort you to the NICU Conference Room.

NPR Course

Courses are offered year round.

Before Your Class

Course Prerequisite 
Prior to your instructor-led event, you are expected to study the textbook, complete the exam, and complete the eSim cases. You may retake the exam until it is passed. Once you pass the exam you will need to print the certificate and bring it to class. You have 90 days from the date you took your exam to take your instructor-led event.

FOR METHODIST EMPLOYEES ONLY: NRP books can be checked out through the Outreach Education Coordinator (Methodist Women's Hospital 4th floor), Rachel Travalik. Books may be checked out for a maximum of 90 days.

External Applicants

To sign up for the Instructor-Led Event (Megacode) within the Methodist Health System, you will be prompted to do so after completion of the exam. This process is now conducted through the exam's website (Healthstream) and needs to be completed within 90 days of the exam completion.

Course Cancellations
We reserve the right to cancel class due to insufficient registrations. If you have questions regarding class cancellations due to weather, please call 402-354-7222.
 
Participant Cancellations
Should you need to cancel, you must do so at least five business days prior to your scheduled course. No call, no show will be required to pay for a rescheduled course.
 
Licensure
If you are using this course toward your licensure, please keep course agenda/objectives and a copy of your card in your personal file. The college does not award continuing education units for AHA courses.
